what a mail cannot convey

words on paper don't make me smile
as your voice did
last night

crisis, what crisis?

He smiled at me
and placed a four-leaf clover
right under my nose
I couldn't help it.
I bought it.

In the distance I recognize him now.
He´s the guy that sells four-leaf clovers.
His eyes, deep blue.
His manners, soft and gentle,
those of a grandfather.

He´s having a coffee
over the newspaper.
His rucksack always accompanies him.

He lives nearby.
Under that famous bridge
I go across every morning
on my way to the swimming pool.
On these chilly mornings
I think of him.

censorship

I really cannot talk about this. I cannot tell you where I had dinner last week with my girlfriends. I am not allowed to say that we had great fun and we ended up dancing reggae surrounded by loads of africans. I really shouldn´t be narrating that she told me especifically not to write about this, but then again, I like to do what I am not supposed to. Inverted psychology, I recon it´s called.
I will not tell you that we ate in a Thai restaurant in the centre of the city. I will not reveal that I did not like the Pad Thai but I really enjoyed the Tom Yam. I will not spell her name, not even her initials, so you won´t recognise her anywhere in the world. I will not confess that I felt connected to the rest of the dancers while listening and moving to the rhythym of Buffalo Soldier. Dancing is something instinctive, it´s animal. When you dance, you feel no fear.

infierno

sun is shining haiku

finally you came back, I,

with summer ended,

pick up leaves of our ill trees
